The Tripp Lite 200-240V, 16A, Switched, Metered PDU system with Automatic Transfer Switching (ATS) provides (8) switched C13 outlets and (2) unswitched C19 outlets, plus a digital display to indicate total connected equipment power consumption level in amps. The switched outlets are factory programmed for sequential turn-on at 250 millisecond intervals when the PDU is powered on to prevent inrush-related equipment interaction on startup. The built-in web/network monitoring card enables remote power monitoring and programmable or real-time outlet control. The remote interface displays the status of input power, load capacity and outlet power via a secure network or web browser interface. Individual outlet control can cycle AC output to regain control of locked-up servers and other network devices. Programmable load ramping and shedding enables user-configurable startup and shutdown sequences, including UPS load management to automatically increase runtime for the most critical connected items by shutting down less critical items at user-determined intervals. Notification and logging of input power status, events, output power and output loading conditions is supported.

The integrated ATS (Auto-Transfer Switch) provides a redundant power option for networking and server applications with non-redundant internal power supplies. When both the PRIMARY and SECONDARY C20 inlets are connected to two separate building circuits, UPS systems or other power sources, the PDU automatically will provide ATS protection to connected loads. In ATS mode, the PDU will normally maintain continuous output to all outlets as derived from the primary C20 input cable. If the primary power source becomes unstable or fails altogether in relation to the secondary, the ATS will switch over to the secondary power source until the primary input is restored and stable. ATS functionality with 2-5 millisecond transfer time is supported by any two compatible 200-240V AC power sources, regardless of phase angle, to offer support for a variety of unique redundant power applications. You can achieve fault tolerant hot-swappable UPS protection when used with a single UPS and fully redundant UPS protection when each cord is connected to a separate UPS system. In a two-UPS environment, the primary input cable must be supported by a full time sine wave online UPS (Tripp Lite SmartOnline series is highly recommended for use as the primary UPS in a two-UPS application, available separately). ATS configurations utilizing separate mains circuits, backup generators and even separate utility power grid feeds are fully supported. An on-board ATS processor constantly evaluates power quality on both input sources to prevent transfer to the secondary source when unavailable or of lower quality than the primary source. The front input LED's display primary and secondary power availability.
