The high-performance PCE-1G-02-NIC connects to your desktop computer’s motherboard and adds two 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports via an available four-lane PCI Express (PCIe) slot. Based on the bridgeless Intel I350 controller, this adapter is a 1 Gbps networking innovation for enterprise and data center applications. Add multiple Ethernet ports to dual-homed proxy or gateway systems for added security and redundant connectivity for uninterrupted network connections.

This PCIe network interface card (NIC) is ideal for Virtual Machine (VM) environments with multiple operating systems that require shared or dedicated NICs. It also is a valuable addition to desktop PC servers and workstations with few PCIe slots available in which turning one RJ45 port into two is beneficial.

The PCE-1G-02-NIC supports common IEEE standards, including 802.3ab (1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet), 802.3u (100base-TX), 802.3az, 802.1Q (VLAN) and 802.1ad. The high-performing bridgeless design supports PCI Express Gen 2.1 5GT/s x4, compatible with PCIe x8 or x16.

Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and DMA coalescing increase efficiency and reduce power consumption for enterprise and data center applications. Scalable iSCSI performance delivers cost-effective SAN connectivity. The PCE-1G-02-NIC also supports jumbo frames, VMDq, DPDK, PXE, WOL and FCoE. Flexible I/O virtualization is ideal for port partitioning and quality of service (QoS) of up to 32 virtual ports.

The halogen-free adapter is compatible with copper UTP cabling, including 1000Base-T Cat5e/Cat6 or higher up to 100 meters, 100Base-Tx Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 or higher up to 100 meters, and 10Base-T Cat3/4/5/5e/6 or higher up to 100 meters. The PCE-1G-02-NIC can be installed with either a standard or low-profile bracket (both are included).
